Wow. Now that was a good fucking zombie movie. I refer to Undead, a groovy little no-budget Australian flick that you all must see. I am talking to YOU, world. And more specifically, you, lx.
It's a campy, blood-soaked adventure brought to life with real devotion by the Speirig Brothers, who clearly have a love for the genre. The cast is more than adequate for this sort of film as well. I really got the impression that they were having a good time doing their job.
I didn't actually intend for this entry to morph into a review. It's just got me by the balls, I guess. I am zombie balls.

I don't know about the rest of you out there in the World, but here in the Free Nation of California, you can get the DVD for 4 bucks at Hollywood Video. Quite the bargain.

Time is a harsh mistress. We look around now and all that's left are memories. I can close my eyes and slipstream into any one of a seemingly infinite number of places; I'm in Boston, living however temporarily with some punk rock vegan chick, I'm in Fairbanks nursing a bottle of Southern Comfort to take edge off the acid comedown while high atop Angel Rocks, I'm way back in Juneau watching the snow outside swim in the ludicrous rainbow lights of christmas, I'm on the streets of New Orleans with my new bride, laughing drunk and absorbing every little sight and sound of that wild city...

It all fades away now. We're all desperately trying to hold on to our beauty and keep our minds in tact. Nothing is new anymore and every one of us is jaded and bitter. I guess the trick is to fall in love with the future and hope that it will have something to offer, places to bring us, lovely things to show us, that we haven't had time to consider yet.

La de da...
